Players and parents of the Thompson Cariboo Minor Hockey League gathered at the Ashcroft Public Works yard last weekend to fill sandbags as a fundraiser for the league. After practice on Sunday, children from preschool hockey all the way up to Midgets with their families helped bag 1,000 sandbags.  They are sold at the local gas stations to raise money to help cover the costs of ice time, jerseys, tournaments, etc. Come out and watch them play hockey on Nov. 5 at Drylands Arena at 11:30 am.
