The Village of Ashcroft is now on Stage 4 water restrictions until further notice.

As of 8 a.m. on Tuesday, September 18, both river pumps have malfunctioned, and the Village is unable to pump any significant volume of water to the reservoirs. Village Public Works staff are currently investigating the issue to see if the pumps can be repaired or need to be replaced.

Residents are asked to reduce their water consumption to the following only:

- health and safety

- control of Fires

Please ensure that garden and lawn sprinklers are turned off, do not use a garden hose for cleaning, refrain from filling hot tubs, and consider taking showers instead of baths.

The Village will post information on the Village website home page (www.ashcroftbc.ca) advising when the Stage 4 water restriction has been lifted.

The Village appreciates residents’ patience and understanding as it deals with this issue as quickly as possible.
