Clayton Oliver Kipp passed away suddenly at his home in Cache Creek on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the age of 95 years.

He is survived by his wife Loretta, brother George, sister Audrey, numerous nieces and nephews and by his favourite dog Shelley the Shelty. He was predeceased by his parents, four brothers and one sister.

Clayton was born on July 23, 1921 in Battleford, Saskatchewan to parents Charles and Irene Kipp. He served in the armed forces as R.C.M.E. Private, and after his time in the military he worked for many years as a welder. He married Loretta, the love of his life, on June 5, 1950.

Clayton loved to travel and go camping with Loretta. He was a talented wood and metalworker, and was also an excellent wine maker. He enjoyed watching sports, and even watched the hockey game on the evening of his passing.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Linda and Scott Roberts, the local ambulance attendants, The Ashcroft RCMP, as well as the staff at Thompson Valley Funeral Home for their kind assistance during a difficult time.
