LAWN Gertrude Eleanore
Passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord on October 5th 2006 at the age of 91 years. She is predeceased by Kenneth her husband of 56 years and by Gordon her son. She is survived by daughters Gillian (Clive) Syms and Leslie (Ralph) Webb, seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter, and by her sister Elaine (Kurt) Ryder-Cook.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at Zion United Church in Ashcroft, B.C. on Friday October 27th , 2006 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Family Friends Society Box 773 Ashcroft, B.C. V0K 1A0 or Zion United Church in Ashcroft.
The family wishes to thank Pat & Jim Trethewey, who took turns holding Mom’s hand for most of two days before her death. Our hearts and minds were easier knowing someone she loved was with her. We also thank the staff of the Extended Care Unit for their wonderful care of Gertrude, especially over the last three weeks of her life.
