Gaspard, Jessie
Jessie Gaspard, born April 26, 1918 passed away on July 12, 2011 in the Ashcroft Hospital. Aunt Jessie is predeceased by her loving husband Buster Gaspard in 1978. Aunt Jessie was orphaned young and was fostered by the Caulder family, went through the residential school system in Kamloops. Jessie was a War Veteran A.W.A.C. Stationed near Leduc, Alberta. Jessie was a Nurse at the Lady Minto Hospital, a volunteer Hospice at Lady Minto Hospital then at the new Ashcroft Hospital. Jessie was a Devout Roman Catholic. Jessie was an excellent cook and baker, loved her crafts and spent countless hours in her yard caring for her flowers and garden. Jessie helped raise many other children with love and care. She will be loved and missed by so many regardless of race or creed. Goodbye for now, see you on the other side Aunty Jessie. At Jessie’s request there will be no public service.
