Ron passed away at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops on Wednesday, December 7th, 2016 after a long illness. He lived at Scottie Creek from 1959 to 1975, then moved to Chilliwack, and Vanderhoof before returning to Ashcroft in 2000. He loved driving truck and seeing the country from Alaska to Mexico, mostly on back roads. He drove commercial freight trucks, logging trucks, and finally travel trailers from Oregon to Grande Cache and all places in between.

He leaves to mourn Audrie, his wife of 60 years, and their four children Cathy (Mark) of Calgary, Russ (Shelley) of Kamloops, Stuart of Kelowna, and Sheila (Dave) of Langley. He is also survived by a large extended family who all loved “Grandpa”, totaling nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren all together, as well as many loving longtime friends he has made over the years.

A celebration of Ron’s life will be held in the spring/summer of 2017
