Better at Home 'thrilled' with Health Care Auxiliary donation

A reader writes to thank the Auxiliary for their recent donation.

Dear Editor,

As Program Coordinator for the Ashcroft-Cache Creek Better at Home program, I would like to extend a heartfelt “thank you” to members of the Ashcroft and District Health Care Auxiliary.

On Monday, April 3 Kitty Murray and Shirley Holowchuk presented a very generous donation from the Auxiliary. My program is thrilled to have this donation, and we are very pleased to be the recipient.

The men and women running and organizing the Ashcroft and District Health Care Auxiliary do a fabulous job and support our community in many ways; thank you so much. This donation stays in our program to help our local seniors to stay in their homes and keep their independence.

Nancy Kendall, Program Coordinator

Ashcroft-Cache Creek Better at Home

Correction: In an article in the March 30 edition of The Journal (“AEDs for fire department and gym”), it was reported that CP Rail had donated $1,000 for the purchase of two AEDs for Ashcroft. The amount of the donation was actually $5,000.
