To the Editor.
Another Guns and Hoses fundraising hockey game is in the books. An event like this depends on volunteers and most, most importantly, the public.
Thanks to all of you over $10,000 was raised to benefit the Lytton Volunteer Fire Department as they recover from the catastrophic fire of last summer.
Another huge part of the success of this event is the support we received from the Ashcroft and Cache Creek Journal, and most importantly editor and volunteer Barbara Roden. Newspapers are supposed to support events as part of their job, but Barbara went above and beyond.
Attending practices, being part of the game, and giving us tremendous support.
