Dear Editor,

As we approach this time of year, we have acknowledged during our Healing and Hope service last Wednesday that this can be a difficult time amidst the joy and excitement.

To continue to bring the light of Christ into the world around us with Hope, Peace, Love, and Joy, we are having a Lessons and Carols service at St. Alban’s Anglican Church in Ashcroft on Sunday, Dec. 17 with scripture readings and Advent and Christmas Carols.

On Christmas Eve, at 10 a.m., we will celebrate the fourth Sunday of Advent with Holy Communion; then, at 7 p.m., we will have a Holy Communion service when we celebrate the birth of Christ, when God came and lived among us. Our services are open to all who wish to join us.

We have decided that there will not be a service on Christmas Day or Dec. 31, to allow for some down time for all involved in this busy season. Regular services will resume with Holy Communion on Jan. 7 at 10 a.m.

To all in our local communities, we send best wishes and God’s blessings.

The Rev. Linda LaGroix

Ashcroft, B.C.
