Many folks in the area always strive to take in the Ashcroft Art Club’s Annual Fine Art Show and Sale at St. Alban’s Anglican Church Hall, 501 Brink Street. Get your calendars out, as it is coming up soon: opening night is set for Friday, April 15, from 6:00 to 9:00pm. Adults only are invited to the opening night festivities, as there is always a crowd. We are happy to welcome everyone on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, April 16–19, from noon until 5:00pm daily.
All the club members from Ashcroft and the outlying areas are readying their entries, including oil, acrylic, watercolour, and mixed media paintings, as well as photography and sculpture. We are looking forward to seeing you at the show, as we are excited to share our latest efforts and discuss our art with you
Looking ahead, the Winding River Arts & Performance Society and the Ashcroft Art Club are presenting this year’s Plein Air Paint-Out from May 27 to 29. Nearly four dozen artists from all over B.C. will flock here to paint our impressive surroundings and show their paintings.
The Art Walk is the local summer art activity in July and August, with businesses around Ashcroft displaying the work of local artists. As always, those who are artistic are invited to join the Art Club when our meetings resume in September. Check us out at our website at www.ashcroftartclub.com.
