Flooding caused the closure of Barnes Lake Road at the north end of Barnes Lake last week, cutting off several properties and forcing the closure of IG Machines and Fibers.
While the road was closed, a helicopter was on standby to provide food and supplies, and transport residents in case of emergency. A back road from Savona was also cleared for traffic.
As of May 15, Barnes Lake Road has been re-opened to single-lane, alternating traffic.
