The Sea Cadets of Ashcroft will be celebrating their Annual Ceremonial Review and Promotions at Heritage Place Park on May 19.
Our cadets have worked hard to earn these promotions, proving their dedication and stamina on various challenges throughout the year, including sailing trips, overnight camping and a leadership training weekend in snow and frosty temperatures at Gavin Lake. They have also participated in several community outreach events like Breakfast With Santa and the Kinsmen Bingo. Some of our citizens may even have spotted them picking up garbage around town.
Needless to say, all the officers, staff and volunteers involved with these wonderful young people are very proud and look forward to honouring their achievements.
347 RCSCC Avenger and the Ashcroft Navy League invite the residents of Ashcroft, Cache Creek and the surrounding communities to join us in our celebration on May 19 at 6 pm at Heritage Place Park on Railway Ave. In case of rain, the festivities will take place at Ashcroft Secondary School on Ranch Rd.
Refreshments will follow the ceremony. Cadets is a wonderful opportunity for our teenagers to get involved in the spirit of adventure and community outreach. Why don’t you bring yours along to get a first-hand look?
