Fun and some sweating was had by all on the recent Ashcroft Hellclimb from Ashcroft to Logan Lake and back.

We had about the same number of riders as last year, but different people.  A new best time was made by Paul Barry of a time of 53 minutes to the brake check from the bottom of the hill (the previous record was 63 minutes held by James Mourad).  A new top speed was hit on the way down also of 89 kph.  After the ride we followed up the event with some BBQ’ed burgers and beer.

This year we were joined by Pramod Ski King, an 18 year old from Nepal, training for the 2014 Paralympics in Russia. He is an Alpine downhill racer with Cerebral Palsy.  He also recieved  the athlete of the year this year in BC for disabled athletes. Also won three thirds at Whistler provincials,  beaten only by provincial team members.  Jim Knowles is his coach.
