The Rotary Club held a buffet fundraiser at the Wander Inn for the Food Bank on Feb. 13. 105 people attended and just over $1

For the past 11 years, The Rotary Club of Ashcroft-Cache Creek has hosted an annual wine tasting evening.  Each year features wines from BC and around the world, most of them medal winners. Last year we added BC micro-brew ales and specially roasted Ethiopian coffee by Beans Roasted Rite. This year the featured wines will be from South America, complemented by six specialty fair-trade coffees from Brazil. The micro-brew ales proved very popular last year, and a different selection of them will be featured this year. The evening always includes a changing selection of hors d’oeuvres to snack on, a non-alcoholic punch, coffee and sweets.A display of local art is also part of the evening. Photography is often under-represented in the local art scene, so this year there will be a selection of works by local photographers Wendy Coomber, Guy Lundstrom, Sue Mourad, Val Teshima and Mike Walker.Join the members of the Ashcroft-Cache Creek Rotary Club at this very interesting and social evening. Proceeds  go to support Rotary International’s polio eradication program. The date is Friday, March 18 from 7-9:30 pm at St. Alban’s Anglican Church Hall, 501 Brink St. Tickets are available at Sears/Ashcroft Work Wear and Ashcroft Employment Services.
