Second Time Around’s annual general meeting was held on April 24, and it was reported that the organization is recovering from loss of income and donations due to the 2017 wildfires. They were fortunate enough to receive a grant from the Red Cross to help with recovery, and have processed $17,300 in grants to local organizations since April 2017.

The store is now required to charge PST, which will begin on May 2, 2018. Donations are picking up and customers are returning.

“We are very fortunate to have such dedicated volunteers who go above and beyond what is expected,” says board member Maria Russell Martin. “We will endeavour to provide this service as long as the community continues to show such generous support.”

The store is located on Railway Avenue in Ashcroft, and store hours are Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
