Pencils, notebooks, toys, and toothbrushes were among the items students collected for the boxes.

Elementary students at Desert Sands Community School put together shoe boxes for Samaritan’s Purse again this year, to be distributed to children in other countries.

Each class brought in different items—such as soap, face cloths, pencils, pens, notebooks, and toys—to complete the boxes. Thanks to the Ashcroft Dental Clinic, which donated toothbrushes, and the Kinsmen, who donated money for the boxes to be sent to the children.
