One of Cariboo Chilcotin NDP candidate Michael Moses' signs is destroyed.

At least two large election campaign signs for Cariboo Chilcotin NDP candidate Michael Moses have been vandalized in Williams Lake.

One sign is located on Mackenzie Avenue North, near the turnoff to the transfer station, and the other is on Highway 97 in the north end of the city.

"That's terrible and makes me sad," said Williams Lake RCMP Staff Sgt. Brad McKinnon when asked if the RCMP had received reports of the damage.

"Destruction of property like this constitutes mischief - wilful property damage - and we will investigate all complaints of it accordingly."

McKinnon said anyone with information about the damage of the signs is asked to please contact the RCMP at 250-392-6211.

In the Cariboo Chilcotin riding there are only two candidates running - Moses and B.C. Conservative Party and incumbent Lorne Doerkson.
