UPDATE: 100 Mile RCMP Sgt. Brian Lamb confirmed on Friday, Feb. 14 that Beverly Fowler had been found safe. Lamb did not say where Fowler was located.

Fowler was reported missing by her family earlier this week and was last heard from on Saturday, Feb. 8.

ORIGINAL STORY: Family and police are actively searching for 108 Mile Ranch resident Beverly 'Bev' Fowler.

Anita Sedor, Fowler's daughter, said that her mother has been missing since Saturday, Feb. 8 and was last heard from late Saturday evening. Sedor told the Free Press that 100 Mile House RCMP have issued a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) for her and that she is believed to be mobile and driving her car.

"We have contacted everyone she could possibly have connected with. Family, friends and no one has seen her or heard from her," Sedor said. "She has gone for visits for a couple of nights (before) but she is never usually gone more than two nights and she is usually in contact with somebody."

Fowler is described as a 73-year-old woman of Indigenous descent from the Snuneymuxw First Nation in Nanaimo who stands at 4'10 and weighs around 150 pounds. Sedor said she has short and spiky grey hair.

Her vehicle is a 2007 four-door Honda Civic that is burgundy red with license plate VF0 00P with some damage to the rear passenger side bumper. It is believed she is mobile and currently driving the vehicle in question.

Sedor said she was born and raised in 100 Mile House before moving down to Kamloops. Her mother followed her down there and lived with her and her husband Kevin for several years before moving with them to the 108 Mile Ranch in 2023. Sedor explained her mother has her own private suite in the basement of her home.

She last heard from her mother on Friday, Feb. 7 after her mother decided to rent a motel room in 100 Mile House after attending a doctor's appointment at the 100 Mile District Hospital. Sedor noted that her mother doesn't like driving at night so she didn't think anything of it at the time.

"We do believe she came home to her suite on Saturday morning and left some papers and she has been missing since Saturday, Feb. 8. From what I can locate it looks like the last person she called was her close friend at 7:30 Saturday evening and that is the last time anyone has heard from her," Sedor said.

Sedor said RCMP are trying to track her phone and credit card but hopes the public will be able to help locate her faster. Her mother enjoys walking around the 108 Mile Ranch lake and being in nature, so she believes she may be out somewhere in the bush accessible by car, rather than a major city. She believes she is likely either still in the South Cariboo area or somewhere near Kamloops.

"She loved nature so if she is anywhere in distress I have a feeling she is going to be somewhere like a park," Sedor said. "Mum, we are all really concerned about you and we would just really like you to contact anybody to let us know you're ok."

100 Mile House RCMP Sgt. Brian Lamb confirmed RCMP are currently on the lookout for Fowler and are concerned for her safety. Anyone who has seen Fowler or her vehicle is asked to contact the 100 Mile House RCMP at 250-395-2456.
