Kimberly (Kim) McIlravey – Clinton councillor candidate

1. How long have you lived in your community?

I have been in the community for about 10 years from 2000 onwards with two moves for family and schooling, and now I’m back with roots planted permanently.

2. What is your occupation?

I work as a Care Aide in the Community and Residential. I am also a Travel Agent.

3. Have you done any volunteer work here? Which group(s)?

I have volunteered for Rocky Mountain Rangers Cadet Core in 100 Mile House, Clinton Food Bank

Clinton and area Assistant Living Society, Clinton Health Auxiliary, Clinton & District AG, DSS PAC and DPAC, South Cariboo Minor Soccer Association and CADOSA.

As well, I also volunteer pretty much anywhere as asked. I will do my best to step up and help.

4. Have you served before in municipal government or on a Board of School Trustees? If yes, where, when, and for how long?

No.

5. Which issues are most important to you?

Housing and Services for our seniors; Activities for our Families and Youth; access to Mental Health services; and keeping our Small Business alive to keep our Town prosperous as well as seeing the STAY & brought in of bigger industries to employ our people, without Gouging our Housing and food prices to make it unaffordable to live for many in these areas.

6. How would you address them?

I will continue to work with the groups I am on, the Village and area to being that fighting voice to be heard.

7. Additional comments.

I look forward to this election and having the chance to become a part of a team that only wants what is best for our community, without losing the small-town feel we all live and love.
