1 dead in targeted Prince George shooting, RCMP search for suspect

Police looking for dash camera, cellphone or video surveillance footage

Police are searching for the suspecting in a targeted shooting that left one person dead. 

Prince George RCMP's serious crime unit is investigating a shooting in the 1500-block of Victoria Street on Nov. 6, a news release says Thursday (Nov. 7). Officers were called to the area around 11:45 p.m.

RCMP say the suspect is still at large. 

Prince George RCMP media relations officer Jennifer Cooper said the shooting appears to be targeted. 

"However, the investigation is at its preliminary stages and we continue to gather evidence."

Police are now looking for witnesses, specifically anyone who was in the area between 11:35 and 11:50 p.m. on Nov. 6 and may have dash camera, cellphone or video surveillance footage. People can contact Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300 or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
