Another CardLock theft

On December 28, yet another theft was reported from a vehicle that was left unattended near the area of Highway 97C and Highway 1 near Ashcroft. Police are increasing patrols in this area, but vehicle owners are reminded that there is not permanent security at this location, and they park their vehicles at the site at their own risk.

Slippery highway

On December 28, police responded to a motor vehicle collision in Cache Creek on Highway 1 near the Dairy Queen. Two vehicles were involved, but the injuries sustained were non-life threatening. BC Ambulance attended. Road conditions were a factor in the crash.

Breaching probation

On December 29, police responded to a report from Ontario that a male who was staying in Cache Creek was breaching his probation order. A female with him was listed as “missing” and was recovered safely. Arrangements were made for her to return to Ontario. The male was arrested and is facing three charges of “Fail to Comply with Probation Order”. Names are being withheld, as charges have not been approved at this time, and also for the privacy of the female.
