Most of hockey equipment stolen in Cache Creek has been found

Jersey remains only item not recovered after theft on Dec. 28

UPDATE Dec. 31: Ashcroft RCMP say that thanks to the community, the hockey gear stolen from a property in Cache Creek on or about Dec. 28 was recovered on Dec. 30. Only one item that was in the equipment bag is still missing: a hockey jersey with the name “Porter” on it.

This item belongs to a 10-year-old girl, so if anyone sees it, please let police know.

On Dec. 28, Ashcroft RCMP were informed that a Grit brand hockey bag containing approximately $1,000 worth of children’s hockey equipment had been stolen from a property in Cache Creek sometime between Dec. 26 and 28.

The name “PORTER” is printed on the back of a jersey that was in the bag, and the number “2” is printed on the back of the helmet that was insideit. The bag also contained a pair of men’s skates, size 6.
