Hungry cattle trample garlic crop

Clinton cows rampage after being locked up without food.

The Clinton RCMP are seeking information in relation to damage to a farm crop that occurred between Oct. 27-31 at Hooke Farms in Clinton.

During that period, an unknown person(s) entered the property and corralled a number of cattle into an enclosure, cuting them off from any food. It appears that the cattle pushed down a fence in their quest for food and ruined an adjoining garlic crop. Damage is estimated to be as much as $10,000.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP at 250-459-2221.
