A man with arrest warrants was taken into custody by Kamloops RCMP Detachment frontline officers.
Lashway Merritt, 30, was wanted on warrants related to three counts of failure to comply with release orders.
Merritt was the victim in the July 3, 2022 Williams Lake Stampede shooting for which Jordell Anthony Sellars was sentenced to more than seven years in prison.
While Merritt was reported as living in Kamloops, he is now wanted on three counts of failure to comply with release orders.
“We are asking the public to please contact their local police detachment if they see him or have information on his whereabouts,” Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP Detachment spokesperson.
Lashway Merritt is described as:

- 5’8”
- 270 lbs
- Brown hair
- Brown eyes
