Cache Creek has received approval and funding to replace the two culverts on Old Cariboo Rd. that were damaged during the May 23 flood
Chief Financial Officer Sheila McCutcheon told Council that the work would begin this week. Council was hoping to have it finished before the Ministry of Transportation’s repaving of the road this year. The repaving is scheduled to begin in mid-October.
The culvert replacement will include replacing about 300 metres of roadway as well.
The project will cost about $50,000.
The Ministry’s repaving project on Old Cariboo Rd. will cost the Village $113,000 and will go from the Starhouse Restaurant to the Vet Clinic.
