Cache Creek will be the scene of a Yard and Garden Tour on Sunday Aug. 28, rain or shine.
The Tour is a first for the Cache Creek Beautification Society, featuring eight homes scattered around Cache Creek. Stunning vistas, ponds, garden walls, vegetable gardens, flowers... and more will surprise and delight those on the tour.
“We’re doing this to promote the community,” said Tour Committee chair Carmen Ranta. “To inspire people and give ideas for other yards.”
She said the extreme heat combined with the normal lack of rain poses a unique challenge to people who like to grow flowers and vegetables, or who just like to enjoy their yards.
The Tour, said Ranta, “is to show people what can be accomplished in Cache Creek.”
Anyone interested in attending the tour can pick up a map of the tour at the Cache Creek Village Office after Aug. 15.
