ZONING AMENDMENT

TAKE NOTICE that the Thompson-Nicola Regional District proposes to amend Zoning Bylaw No. 2400, 2012.

The proposed Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2868, 2025, is a site-specific zoning change to the CD-1: Comprehensive Development zone that would enable secondary suites in all dwelling types, on all parcel sizes, and eliminate the maximum 80 square metre size cap for new development at 38 Rue Cheval Noir, Tobiano, BC (Latitude West) (PID: 027-530-639) only, as shown outlined on the inset map.

The Thompson-Nicola Regional District Board will consider first reading of the proposed amendment on:

February 20, 2025, at 1:30 pm

This publication serves as notice that no public hearing will be held for the proposed zoning amendment. Provincial legislation prohibits local governments from holding a public hearing where the purpose of a bylaw is to permit residential development consistent with an Official Community Plan (see Local Government Act, section 464(3)).

Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2868, 2025, is available for review on the TNRD website at tnrd.ca/bylaw2868. Copies of the proposed amending bylaw and all supporting information, can be inspected from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday (except statutory holidays), from the date of this notice until 1:30 p.m. on February 20, 2025, at:
