Barbara Elizabeth Kane
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Elizabeth Kane of Ashcroft. She passed away peacefully into the arms of her creator on June 10, 2011 at the age of 60.
Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her mother Joan Kane, and siblings Maureen Kane, Heather Kane-MacLeod (Malcolm), Murray Kane (Angie), Nancy Kane (Jocelyne) as well as 8 nieces and nephews and one great-niece.
Barbara was predeceased by her sister Margaret Lorraine Kane and her father Murray James Kane.
Barbara was born and raised in Ashcroft. She exceeded academically throughout her school years but found fulfillment through her artistic gifts. Barbara loved and excelled in her jewellery making, music, both writing and playing, and art and photography. Barbara had a zest for life and an appreciation for the beauty in the world. She was always experimenting with new art forms. Barbara loved animals and always had either a dog or two, cats or both in her life. She will greatly be missed by them as well as her friends and family.
There will be a service at the Zion United Church in Ashcroft at 1:00 p.m. on June 25, 2011.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in memory of Barbara to the Kamloops Humane Society or the
B.C. Cancer Society.
