It is with heavy hearts that the family of Brenda Ann Battershill announce her passing on May 29th, 2021 at the age of 69.
Brenda will be lovingly remembered by Paul, her loving husband of 40 years, daughters Randi (Clay), Jayme (Andrew) and her two granddaughters Jillian and Payden. Numerous other family members and many friends will miss her dearly.
Brenda was amazing at making connections with others, she was kind hearted and loved having great conversations with anyone. She had a wonderful sense of humour.
Brenda enjoyed spending her time at Loon Lake, BC where she was an owner or retired resident since 1975. Her passions were fishing, snowmobiling, campfires and exploring the backcountry.
Her passion was also sewing and making blankets for everyone. Her ability to sew and wrap warmth around everyone that she loved was amazing.
Brenda and Paul travelled extensively in retirement and memories of the rivers of Europe, plains of Africa and far reaches of the Mekong remain vivid.
In lieu of flowers, please fill up your glass, play a game of crib and cheers to the ones you love, this is what Brenda would have wanted instead. Donations may be considered at your discretion to organizations supporting neurodegenerative diseases such as MSA-C, ALS and Parkinson's.
We would like to thank the Village at Mill Creek for their amazing care for Brenda. A special thank you to Andy and Janet Kluftinger for their support over the last six years. There is no service due to Covid-19. A private ceremony will be held at a later date for the family.
