Cecil Peer
February 18, 1925 —April 26, 2007
Cecil Peer of Vavenby, BC passed away in his home on April 26, 2007 at 82 years of age. He is survived by his sisters Phoebie (Ernie) Wilson of Kingston, ON and Hazel (Jim) Stark of Brockville, ON, as well as several nieces and nephews. Cecil was predeceased by his parents, Bessie and Bruce Ireland, his sister, Alice and by his brothers Clifford and Cleon. Cecil was born in Toronto, ON. He travelled extensively throughout his life and loved flying. He was a Life Member of the
Westview Flying Club. Cecil was also a member of the IBEW Local 213 for over 50 years. During his years
living in Vavenby, Cecil enjoyed sharing many of his
various quotes and phrases with local residents; his friends will miss hearing these from Cecil. Cecil’s
favorite hangout was Papa’s Diner in Clearwater; he took delight in trying to make it to Papa’s before the breakfast menu was over. A Memorial Service for Cecil Peer will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel at North Thompson Funeral Services. Lloyd Strickland will officiate. Cecil’s friends and
