STEPHENSON, Clarence Robert
September 29, 1924 - November 7, 2008
Clare passed away peacefully in the Ashcroft Health Site Palliative Care Unit Friday November 7th.
He was born in the original Lady Minto Hospital in Ashcroft. Clare was predeceased by his Father (Clarence), Mother (Julia), Baby Brother (George) and his first wife (Margaret).
He leaves his memory to his loving wife Marina, his children Shelly, Clarence (Anita), Scott (Lisa), his sister Anita Webster, Grandchildren Shyla, Jake, Travis, and Dana plus many other niece’s, nephews and cousins. Also his extended family members, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Clare served in World War ll as a young man, and then had a career with Greyhound Lines of Canada for almost 40 years. He knew all the highways, bi-ways and waterways throughout BC, where he hunted and fished. Fishing was by far his greatest passion. “Watching him Fly Fish was
nothing less than Poetry in Motion”
Our Family would like to thank the Ashcroft Health Site Nurses, Staff and Dr McConville for their kind and loving care of our Husband, Dad, Granddad & Great Granddad. Also our gratitude to his many friends that came to visit and the Veterans Association of Canada.
A special thanks to Clare’s “Buddy” Murray Glover for always being there for him.
At Clare’s request no service will be held. In lieu
of Flowers donations can be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Ashcroft Health Site or the Canadian Cancer Society.
