It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clarke Stobo Allen on Monday, November 14, 2016 at the age of 80 years. He passed away peacefully in his home with his wife Marlene by his side.

Clarke will be sadly missed by Marlene, his loving wife of 45 years, and children Kim (Vaughn) Littlewood of Port Alberni, Tony Allen of Merritt, Shawn (Rick) Stephens of Campbell River, Rhonda (Kevin) Brett of Kamloops, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Don (Marlene) Allen of Kamloops as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended family members. He was predeceased by his mother Kathleen in the late 1980’s.

Clarke was born in the Prince George area, living there until his early teens when his family relocated to Burnaby. He remained in the lower mainland until he and Marlene moved to Clinton almost 45 years ago. Clarke loved the Clinton area and was a man who liked to keep busy, serving for 13 years on the Ashcroft Schoolboard, coaching minor league baseball and being an active member of the local Lion’s club for many years. He was an accomplished woodworker and loved spending time in nature, both hunting and fishing. He enjoyed sports and in his younger years he was a soccer player.

Clarke remained very active until six years ago when he and Marlene relocated to Lytton for health reasons. Although he enjoyed his new home he always kept a special place in his heart for the for people, and community of Clinton.

No formal services will be held at this time. Cremation will take place and Clarke will be taken to one of his favourite spots in nature for scattering.
