Diane Moldenhauer

Do not cry for me, I have gone to a better place

Diane was born in South Porcupine, Ontario on

December 22, 1942. She passed away peacefully in Ashcroft Hospital on April 30th, 2008 at the age of 65 years. She is survived by her loving husband Don;

sister Margaret Rondina (Sudbury, Ont); brother Clayton (Pat) Creed (Whitby, Ont) and the Moldenhauer siblings: Joe (Gloria) Calgary; Ed(Lois) (Edmonton); Lill(Jerry) (Kamloops); Wally(Ann) (Sask); Rosalie(Don) (Sask); Ron (Sask); Bob (Sask); John (Ont); Marie (Sask); Marilyn (Ont) as well as many nieces and nephews. Diane was predeceased by her parents Russel & Vivian Creed. She began her teaching career in 1960 in Ontario, moving to B.C and retired from teaching in 2003 with 33 years of service to the children of School District #74 Ashcroft. She was a guiding light to all who knew her, in her teaching career and her community. Diane loved gardening, baking, reading, golf and curling, however we believe her gardening was as close to her heart as teaching. Her friends and family remember her to be a giving and loving person, we will all have our own special

memories to cherish. Thank you to Dr. McConville, the nurses on palliative care at Ashcroft Hospital, Mary and Diane (Public Health nurses), and to Linda Koster whom Diane chose (as her angel) for their help, compassion, and dedication to Diane and her family while she was hospitalized. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Palliative Care Unit, Ashcroft & District General Hospital. A Memorial Mass for Diane was held on Tuesday May 6, 2008 at St. Gerards Roman Catholic Church 512 Brink St. Ashcroft with Fr. Malcolm Celebrant. Thompson Valley Funeral Home Ashcroft entrusted with arrangements.
