Doreen passed away peacefully June 19, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer in Kamloops. Survived by her loving partner Gary Mercer of Cache Creek, daughters Carla (Royden) MacDonald of Terrace, B.C., Tina Smith (Brent Huculak) of Kamloops, B.C. stepson Rodney (Bernadette Peterson of Calgary, Ab. Siblings Gilbert (Fely) Stolz of Prince George, B.C., Penny (Dan) Code of Kelowna, B.C. and Sharon Stolz of Kamloops. Grandchildren Chelsea and Chad of Terrace, B.C.. Doreen is predeceased by her parents Adam and Kathleen Stolz and her brother Raymond. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Doreen may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society Box 862 Ashcroft, B.C. V0K 1A0. A Celebration Of Life Service for Doreen will be held at the Cache Creek Community Hall on July 5th at 1:00 pm. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, niece, cousin, friend, she will be dearly missed. Thompson Valley Funeral Home Ashcroft entrusted with arrangements.

God saw you getting tired, healing was not to be,
He wrapped His arms around you and whispered, “Come to Me.”
In tears we stood by your side, we watched your courage each day.
Our hearts hurt for you, you fought so hard to stay.
But when we saw you sleeping so peacefully, free of pain,
We could not wish you back to suffer so again.
