After a brief courageous battle with cancer, on Tuesday January 30, 2007 Edward Louis Lukinchuk of Drayton Valley, Alberta passed away at the age of 52 years.Ed was born in Porcupine Plain, Saskatchewan on June 7, 1954. His family relocated to the Kamloops area in 1956. For most of his career, Ed worked in the tire business and at the time of his passing was employed at Fountain Tire in Drayton Valley, Alberta. He was a hard working dedicated employee. Ed will always be remembered for his quick sense of humor and his love of cats.Ed will be sadly missed by his brothers; Alvin (Jan) Lukinchuk of Kamloops, BC, Robert (Lorraine) Greening of Pitt Meadows, BC, and his sister Shirley (Danny) Sjoberg of Penticton, BC, nephews; Shane, Chad, Michael, Brad, Brent, Ryan, Steven and niece Svea. Ed was predeceased by his brother Randy Lukinchuk on March 17, 2001.The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Girard and the nursing staff at the Drayton Valley Hospital Acute Care Unit for their loving and compassionate care of Ed over these past several weeks. A special thanks also to friends Bill Mitchell, and Roxanne Luc without whose love and support would have made these past few months for Ed and his family much more difficult.There will be no service by request.

A Celebration of Ed’s Life will be held at a later date.
