December 10, 1915 to January 29, 2010

It is with great sadness that Elsie’s family announce her passing away.

Elsie was born in Saskatoon, SK on December 10, 1915.

She passed away in the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice Home on January 29, 2010.

She is survived by her 3 children & their families: Iva (Mac) McDonald, Jim (Janet) Hunter & Marilyn (Ken) Campbell; her grandchildren: Casey (Tanis) McDonald, Candace Desjardins, Allison (Quinn) Hunter, Joseph (Samantha) Hunter, Trish (Peter) Campbell, Monte (Andrea) Campbell & Sandra Campbell; her great grandchildren: Cara & Erin Desjardins, Madelyn Gavaga & Addison Campbell. She is also survived by a brother: George Smith; 2 sisters: Zelpha McCullough & Harriet Sollosy; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years: Michie Hunter in 1990; her brothers: Douglass and Ernest Smith, and her sisters: Martha Haughn & Pat Seymour.

The family wish to extend gratitude and appreciation for the excellent care she received by the Long Term Care staff in Ashcroft; the Emergency staff at RIH; Dr. Birdi and the staff on 6 South at RIH and to Dr. Farren & the caring nurses & volunteers at Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice Home in Kamloops.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Pentecostal Church in Cache Creek on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Long Term Care Unit at the Ashcroft Health Centre would be appreciated.
