Walkem - Forrest Felix. Born August 2, 1930, passed away unexpectedly on Feb 19, 2004.
He will be lovingly remembered by his brother William (Bill) Hugh, sister Edith Helen Zust, lifelong friend and former wife Joyce, children: David (Nita), Brenda Aljam (Harold), and Charles; grandchildren: Hamelkst, Connie and Thomas Jonathan (TJ) and numerous friends and relations.
Forrest served as chief of the Cooks Ferry Band for many years and was on the Executive of the Union of BC Indian Chiefs in its formative years.
A devoted father, grandfather, rancher and friend of the ‘ponies’ Forrest will be greatly missed.
Funeral services were held on Feb. 24, 2004 at the Chief Whistemnitsa Centre, Spences Bridge, BC. Burial followed at the Cooks Ferry Indian Band Cemetery.
