Joanne Smeeton

On February 5th 2012, loving wife and mother Joanne Smeeton, passed away peacefully at Polson Special Vernon Hospital with her daughter by her side. Joanne had struggled with Alzheimer’s for years and is finally at peace.
She is survived and loved by her husband Glen, her four children Diane, Randy, Rick, Rod, and seven grandchildren.
Joanne was a strong, hardworking woman who was never shy about sharing her opinions, but those that knew her also knew her great sense of humor and how gentle and caring she was. She raised four children in California on her own before reuniting with and marrying her teenage sweetheart, Glen, in the early 80’s.
Joanne will be missed and remembered by her many friends and family. Her ashes will be spread in Canada and California per her wishes. A memorial service will be held in late spring/ early summer so all friends and family can attend.
