1933 – 2011

Laura was born in Mission, B.C. on July 29, 1933 to Albert and Margaret Cade. She passed away on February 16, 2011 at 100 Mile District Hospital.

She married Bill Thomson in 1951 and agreed to move to Clinton, B.C. from Mission to become a rancher’s wife. Along with the help from her sister and her family, they bought Horse Camp Ranch. With Bill being a faller and Laura volunteering in numerous fund raisers, they met a lot of friends. Horse Camp was their place to be. Friends and family were always welcome. They made Clinton and Horse Camp their home.

She was predeceased by her husband Bill of 56 years in 2008.

Laura is survived by their children, Steven (Marilyn), Jill (Scott) Robinson, Scott (Candace); grandchildren Aaron, Dayna, Jenna (Dana) Thomson, Greg (Latisha), Eric Morhart, Tyler Dougherty, Todd Robinson, Justin (Jen), Travis Thomson; great-grandchildren Connor, Sierra, and Lynaya Morhart, Mica and Tsion Morhart, and Jada Lyne Thomson; sisters Markie (Dusty) Munn, Dolly Scudder, Nita (Jack) Thomson, Margaret Edge, Susan (Don) Rose, Betty Bodnar, Irene (Cliff) Fisher; brother Bud (Helene) Cade, and by many nieces and nephews.

Laura was also predeceased by her sister Jane Eburne.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the BC Cancer Agency 399 Royal Avenue, Kelowna, B.C., V1Y 5L3.

A memorial tea and luncheon will be held at the Clinton Memorial Hall on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at1:00 p.m.
