Lawrence Philip "Jake" Eckardt passed away on August 15, 2020 at his home in Ashcroft. He was 79 years of age. Jake was born on May 16, 1941 in Calgary, Alberta.
He is survived by one nephew in North Carolina, and a niece in Florida. He was predeceased by his parents and his two sisters.
Jake was a longtime forty plus year veteran of the Royal Canadian Legion. He was a graduate in Psychology from The University of British Columbia and worked as a psychologist in Toronto, Ontario before later working as a Personnel Officer at the Burnaby General Hospital.
Jakes wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service will be held in the Greater Vancouver Area at a later date.
