March 25, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, Margaret Elizabeth (nee Reaume) Knox on March 25, 2021, at age 90. She quietly left us, with her husband and daughter at her side. She was the strongest, & kindest woman we knew.
Marg was born in Phelps Township, Ontario. She never went to school, but stayed home to help on her family's farm (along with her older brother) and was home schooled.
When she found the love of her life, she followed him across the country, & raised their children in numerous communities, in Ontario, Nova Scotia, then, 'Out West' to BC where they settled in Kitimat, Cache Creek & her last year or so in Williams Lake Seniors Home.
Mom was a gardener, artist, crafter, wood carver, & hunter, but her favourite pastime was fishing! (Fish trembled when she approached the water!) And she was good at all of them.
She is predeceased by her parents Ralph (WW1 Veteran) & Marvelle Reaume, siblings, Art (Maryann), Joe, Helen, & grandson Craig. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 67 years, Ron Knox; children, Gord, of Phoenix, Ariz, Dave (Pam Snider) of Ingersol Ontario, Brenda (Dave Walgren) of Williams Lake, Jim (Wendy Rolston) of Terrace, Ken (Gwen O'Leary) of Nanaimo and grandsons Jamie (Sara) of Surrey, Peter (Denee Renouf) of Dawson Creek, & Geoff of Fraser Lake, as well as great grandkids Theodore, Annette and Madeleine.
Marg is survived by her siblings Harold, Marvelle Kostick, Ralph, sister-in-law Pat Reaume, & brother-in-law Don Soluk.
We will miss your buttertarts Mom, but your love of rocks and seashells & of nature itself, lives on in all of us!
If anyone wishes to give donations in her name, please donate to Parkinson's Canada, or the Cancer society of your choice.
