Marjorie Joan Wadge passed away peacefully on Friday, April 9th, 2021 surrounded by her family at the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, BC.
Marjorie was born in Jordan Falls, Nova Scotia where she lived with her parents Effie and Wilfred Harris, and her two sisters Winnie and Elizabeth.
While working in Halifax, Marjorie met Richard, a handsome, young navy sailor who became her life-long partner of 61 years. Marjorie and Richard had two children: Dan and Cindy. Early in their marriage, they lived in Nova Scotia before moving to Kirkland Lake, Ontario, eventually settling in Ashcroft, B.C.
Marjorie is survived by her husband Richard, her son Dan and his children Emily and Erin as well as her daughter Cindy and her husband Craig as well as Cindy's children Zach, Max, and Kameron. Marjorie was predeceased by her parents and her older sister Winnie.
Marjorie was an elementary school teacher and was very passionate about education, her students, and life-long learning. After retirement, she volunteered her time at the local thrift store and the Ashcroft Hospital hospice.
Marjorie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be so missed.
Due to COVID, there will be no memorial service. Marjorie's ashes will be taken back to Nova Scotia and interred in Jordan Falls.
