On Tuesday, December 18, 2007 Mr. Michael Wipf passed away peacefully at Kamloops Hospice Home at the age of 69 years. He is survived by his son Neil (Darcie) of Cache Creek, his two grandchildren Jordon and Shana. Also left to cherish his memory are his three brothers Joe (Anna) Wipf, Dave (Anna) Wipf and Lennard (Sarah) Wipf and his sisters Dorthey and Ann (Joseph), Helen and little sister Susie and life long friends Ward Garraway, Darren Hicks and Wayne and Valene Everett all of Kamloops.

Mike was predeceased by his mom and dad, Mike and Dorothea, his brothers Paul 1, Paul 2 and George and his sisters Mary and Maggie.Mike was born in 1938 in Lake Side Coloney, Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was the 2nd oldest of a family of 12 other brothers and sisters. In 1954, he started his journey to beautiful British Columbia, where he perused a new career working for Imperial Oil Ltd. in Little Fort, B.C. From there Mike owned and operated with his partner (Dorrie) Tune-In Electronics for many years. Also during this time Mike perused his passion for flying by getting his pilots licence and owing and operating his own plane, with his best friend Ward Garraway, they loved to fly. During this time Mike also operated a Liquidation Warehouse in Kamloops. Mike’s passions in life were to cook for his friends and relatives, and was very electronically inclined, always fixing electrical equipment and he loved fixing and tinkering with clocks. In 1991, Mike suffered his 1st heart attack and has had a long battle with other illnesses since. While Mike’s wings have been grounded his spirit has taken off to a better place. He will be sadly missed by a great amount of family and friends.

We want to give special thanks to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home staff, you all helped and supported us in such a comforting way in his last days. Those final days were very significant to us. You are all angels to us, many many thanks.
