September 19, 1932 - June 8, 2020
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend passed away peacefully on June 8th, 2020, at Pine Grove Care Centre, Kamloops, B.C. Daughter of the late Diver and Veronica (nee Morriseau) Lufta, Mildred was born on September 19, 1932, at Lake Helen Reserve, Nipigon, Ontario.
She married her loving and faithful husband Raymond Luce on April 10, 1950 and they remained united for 66 years until Ray's passing on Dec 23, 2016. Also predeceased by her daughter Debora Ann, granddaughter Diana Rae, brothers Clifford and Chris, sisters Hilda and Gertrude, brothers in-law Ray, Teles, Wayne & Larry and son in-law Edward. Mildred and Ray brought forth ten children and is survived by Raymond Jr. (Shannon); Lawrence; Catherine, Curtis; Marjorie (Michael), Veronica (Darcy), Amanda, Anthony, Kirkland, Elliott, Madeline & Navaeh; Craig (Stephanie), Cassandra; Roger (Lorraine), Louie (Melissa), Dezarae, Maddison, Alisa, Alex & Kahlan; Derek (Evelyn), Jayda & Morgan; Alison (Tim), Faith; Koren (Steve), Tyson, Cassie & Aiden; Alvin; Barry (Robin), Jamie (Nick) & Jenna (Kevin); Mark (Laurie), Erica, Ben (Abby) & Levi; Tony (Lisa) & Dalton.
She loved and was immensely proud of her entire family. She was caring and loved to listen to all her children. Mildred is also survived by her sisters Ivy, Inga (Don), Diana (Johnny), Freda, Patricia and many nieces and nephews. Mildred walked the Catholic faith. May God continue to bless her on her journey home and say to her, "Well done, good and faithful servant". Family graveside service was held at the Kings Lake Memorial Garden Cemetery, Clinton, B.C., on June 11th, 2020 at 1 pm officiated by Father Udoka Chris Nwosu of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Clinton, B.C.
The family would like to extend its gratitude and deepest thanks to the entire staff at Pine Grove Care Centre and to Dr. Holman for the exceptional care given to Mom during her later years.
