RANDELL – Phyllis May Randell born September 12th 1921 passed away peacefully in the Royal Inland Hospital on April 24th 2009. Phyllis is survived by her daughter Kathleen Franks of Cache Creek, B.C. her sons Robin and Lee of Calgary, Alta, and Steven (Janice) of Orleans, Ontario. Also her grandchildren Sundae, (John), Ian (Khai), Jennifer (Ross), Brandi, Curtis and three great grandchildren Andre’ (Joniel), Nolan and Chelsea. Phyllis was a great gardener and loved flowers, appreciated fine music and Opera, an avid reader, lover of animals, enjoyed traveling, and was a passionate crib player. Phyllis was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Anavets and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Phyllis will be greatly missed by her family, fellow crib players and especially by her very good friend, long time companion and traveling partner John Warkentin. There will be no public service at Phyllis’s request. In lieu of flowers Donations in Phyllis’s memory may be made to the B.C. Cancer Society or the S.P.C.A. Thompson Valley Funeral Home Ashcroft entrusted with arrangements.
