September 17, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Regula “Reggie” Stucki on September 27, 2018.
Reggie was born in Worb, Switzerland in 1954. She trained as a nurse in Switzerland, met her husband Martin, and together they had two sons. In 1997, she and her family moved to Canada and settled in 100 Mile House, where Reggie was able to live her Canadian dream. Despite the hardship of losing Martin after their immigration, Reggie stayed in 100 Mile House, worked at the hospital, and raised her two sons. In 2001 she met Jozef Stencel, and together they travelled many kilometers, and wore-out many pairs of hiking boots, as they traversed all over the Rockies and BC. In 2016, they moved from 100 Mile House to Ashcroft. Reggie had an indomitable spirit, and her laugh, her joy, and her energy will be missed.
She is survived by her sons Daniel (Caitie) and Marc (Wynter), by her two granddaughters, Lillian and Louisa, and by her loving partner, Jozef.
A celebration of life is to be held at the Valley Room in 100 Mile House, on October 28, 2018 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
