December 29, 1959 - January 7, 2022
It is with heavy hearts we sadly announce the passing of our Son, Father, and Grandfather Ron Ebert on January 7th 2022 at his home in Loon Lake. Born December 29th 1959 at Lady Minto Hospital in Ashcroft B.C., he went on to graduate high school in Ashcroft and Cariboo College in Kamloops. After graduation he worked for the B.C. Forest Service as a draftsman. Ron eventually moved back to Loon Lake where he became a jack of all trades for the family resort; a carpenter, electrician, plumber, mechanic, and camp host. He was very active in the community, always helping neighbours and was a fireman/fire chief for the Loon Lake Volunteer Fire Department.
Ron enjoyed traveling, particularly to Cuba, Hawaii, and Mexico. He drove his motorcycle through the USA several times, making friends along the way. A successful hunter and fisherman, Ron always took time to embrace the quiet of the wilderness. He loved the times he had with his kids and grandkids, building campfires, making roast dinners and going on adventures/trips. Ron leaves behind his father Ken, his mother Joyce, two brothers Stephen and Patrick, five children Kerri, Marcus, Kristen, Robyn, Aaron and eight grandchildren.
Plans for a celebration of life will be made at a later date.
