In loving memory ~

Beloved and devoted husband, father, papa, brother, and friend, Bill passed away in Williams Lake after his brief stay at Seniors Village.

Bill leaves behind his loving wife, Sharon; daughter, Susan (Stephen) Pellizzari; grandchildren, Dustin, Shaya, Cailey, Alexa, Jones, and Parker; sister, Barbara Ablitt; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. In 2021, Bill was predeceased by his son, David, of Fort Nelson and brother, Gordon, in 2022.

Bill, son of Calder and Ellen Soules, was born in Revelstoke, BC and raised in Beaton, BC. His love of being behind the wheel began at the young age of 14, driving logging trucks for his father. In the 1950's and early 60's, Bill worked for various logging companies in Revelstoke. Bill met Sharon, the love of his life, in New Westminster in 1961 and married on May 2, 1964. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year! In 1966 he eventually began his career with Greyhound Lines, and in 1970, Bill and Sharon relocated their young family from Revelstoke to Cache Creek, where one of Greyhound's main terminals was located. Being a very social fellow, he enjoyed meeting and interacting with his passengers from all around the world until his retirement in 1997. In 2021, Bill and Sharon moved to 100 Mile House to be closer to family.

Family was very important to Bill; he was so proud of Sharon, their children, and grandchildren. He lit up when sharing about them and their accomplishments. Bill had compassion for his pets; he loved many cats and dogs over the years, providing them all with very pampered lives! Bill was an avid outdoorsman; he loved fishing and hunting within BC. As a serious gardener, he took great pride in his yard and home. Dancing was also one of his favorite hobbies throughout his entire life! Bill and Sharon travelled extensively throughout the world, especially on cruise ships. Between Bill's career, hobbies, and their love of travelling, he always had a story and would reminisce about his different adventures.

Bill was extremely generous, kind, and hardworking in all aspects of his life. He had the biggest heart and was a gentle and caring soul. Bill was a wonderful person, neighbour and friend, always there to lend a hand. He had a fantastic sense of humour and was a bit of a jokester, with a twinkle in his beautiful blue eyes. Bill was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

No service by request. His remains will be put to rest in the family plot in the Peachland Cemetery.

Go catch the big one with David!
