William Walter, 82 yrs of Nanaimo, BC, passed away in peace on the evening of February 15th, 2009. Bill is survived by his wife Angelina, his sons Wayne (Marie) of Chilliwack, Brent (Irene) of Sacramento, Brian (Susan) of Ashcroft and step sister Lauren of Edmonton, sister Dorothy (Bob) of Nanaimo and brother Ray of Port Moody. Also numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Bill, loved by many, lived a full, rich and happy life. Born in Gull Lake, Sask., after a short stint in the army during WW II, Bill joined the railroad retiring as a senior conductor with the CPR in Vancouver. Bill loved his boats, fishing, hunting and finally RV’ing, always with his wife close by. A memorial service was held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 257 in Lantzville on Saturday, February 28th, 2009. Donations in remembrance of Bill can be made to the Scleroderma Foundation, First Memorial Funeral Services, Nanaimo (250-754-8333).
