Dear Editor
I am writing this letter on behalf of the Navy League of Canada, Ashcroft Branch which is the support group responsible for the Sea Cadet Corps in Ashcroft.
We have been holding a monthly bingo in the Legion basement for some years now, and unfortunately I have to say we have held our last one, at least for the present. The attendance has continued to drop over the past couple years as well as the volunteer involvement.
It is disappointing to have to come to this decision, but it was no longer worth the time and effort needed to hold such a small event. We appreciate the support the players have shown over the past years, without you, the Cadets may not have been able to travel to some of the wonderful experiences they have in the past.
Thank you with all our heart, and if we can see our way to come back someday, I hope you will be there again to support us!
